About us

Aims of Membership

Good Relationships  I will do my best to preserve the unity which the Spirit gives, by being humble, gentle, patient, tolerant and forgiving, as God has forgiven me through Christ. I will seek to speak the truth in a spirit of love using helpful words to encourage others; I will not listen to criticisms or gossip about others. (Read Ephesians 4, Psalm 133)

Committed Fellowship  I will devote myself to learning from the Bible’s teaching, taking part in fellowship, sharing in the breaking of bread, in praise and worship of God and in praying for others. I will not give up the habit of meeting together but instead encourage others by being committed to the regular gatherings of God’s people. (Read Acts 2.42,47  Hebrews 10.25)

Powerful Witness  I know that Jesus has called us to be light for the whole world and salt for all mankind. I want to be full of the Holy Spirit so that I am a witness who is not ashamed to speak for our Lord and to take part in the Churches mission to go and make disciples. (Read Matthew 5.13-16 and 28.19,20 also 2 Timothy 1.7,8)

Loving Service  I want to be ruled by the love of Christ. I want to serve others and look out for their interests, not just my own. I want to use my gifts and resources for the good of all, that the whole Church may be helped and may grow and build itself up through love. (Read 1 Corinthians 13)

Joyful Giving  I want to give as much as I can to the ministry of my church, not because I have to but because I want to. I want to give gladly not with regret or out of a sense of duty. I am willing each week/month to put aside some money in proportion to what I have earned or received. (Read 2 Corinthians 8.2 and 9 5-7  1 Corinthians 16.2  Malachi 3.8-12)

Respecting Leaders  I want to respect, honour and love those who work amongst us, who guide and instruct us in the Christian life. I will keep on praying and caring for them since they must give God an account of the work they do. (Read 1Thessalonians 5.12,13  Hebrews 13.17,18

Holy Living  I want to learn how to please God by the way I live. I want to learn how to be obedient, holy and pure in my actions. I acknowledge that there are some things a Church must not tolerate from those who are its members. (Read 1 Corinthians 5.9-11 and 6.9-11 1 Thessalonians 4.3-8 Titus 3.10 1 John 3.4-10 Revelations 2.14,20)
