About us

Paul and Rowena Entwistle

Paul and Rowena have been elders of the Good News Church since 2004 and were appointed as pastors of the Church in September 2007.

Paul works as an environmental health officer, and Rowena worked previously as a primary school teacher.

They have two grown-up daughters, who have left home to further their studies and careers.

Paul has previously had responsibility for all aspects of worship in the church - principally the Worship Team, Kid's Band, and the related Fellowship Group. He has a big heart for worship.

Paul says:

"In 1978 I had an encounter with the Lord that brought healing to me and at the same time He spoke into my life about being involved in the leading of praise & worship.

I have a longing to see a deepening of our church worship experience of the Lord Jesus Christ that must have its roots in individuals pressing in to a deeper friendship with Him day by day."

Recently Paul has been given a vision for a house of prayer in the Macclesfield as we seek the Lord to impact our town and the nations.
