Children's Band                                              

We are very aware that there are so many wonderful, gifted young musicians whose talent needs to be developed and released.

Through the Band we provide the encouragement and opportunity for children to learn about worshipping God through lots of fun and music making!  There is no minimum skill-level required to join and we have yet to find a child who cannot sing!  However we do ask that those who play an instrument in the band are taking (or intending to take) lessons privately. 

The Band sessions include the following:

o       Learning new songs

o       Developing instrumental skills for being part of a band

o       Singing techniques (for the singers!)

o       Short interactive teaching slot looking at worship

The Band meets to practice one Sunday morning per month and is open to all school-aged children.  The children lead the worship in our morning service once per month. Please note that all leaders of the Bands are part of the GNC and adhere to the church’s Child Protection Policy (available on request).

Our children's band leaders are James and Hazel Kirkland. They have a real heart for teaching the children in music and worship.
