David and Raych and their family are now living in Jinja, Uganda. Their work is focused on Mto Moyoni (‘the river in the heart’) a healing and retreat centre where the ministry of God’s Father heart is in operation.
God has really touched their hearts concerning those released from the recent conflict in the north of Uganda. They say “Only Father God is able to bring freedom, healing and release from the trauma, pain and anger they have as a result of the last 20 years of brutality, violence and fear. This healing comes from an encounter with God’s Father heart through the power of the cross brought by the Holy Spirit”.
The retreat centre has this focus of the Father’s love. The team there has worked with people from all over Uganda and they have seen God bring freedom and healing to many.
Mto Moyoni is in the process of expanding to be able to run retreats for 100 -150 pastors or young people. David and Raych will be participating in week long retreats for pastors and young people. They see it helpful to bring them down from their difficult situations to a place of quiet peace and beauty, where the focus will be encountering the Father’s heart and the healing that it brings.
To start off, David and Raych will focus on helping pastors who have been caught up in trauma. They are God’s men on the ground, with experience of all that’s happened. They are best placed to reach the thousands in their communities to pass on healing.
They hope to be involved in follow up of those who attend the retreats.
Now that David and Raych have officially started work, they we will be going through all the different refreshing courses which Mto Moyoni run.
Dave will begin doing some of the teaching at the Centre, and Raych will be leading praise & worship and soaking sessions (quiet music allowing people to meditate and hear from God). Dave will also be working on helping to develop the new low budget centre (aimed at pastors and young people) and a work into the community around them. They are both excited about what God has planned for them.
Davids job title is Development Manager and he will be spearheading new developments at Mto Moyoni as well as helping to pastor those at the Centre.
